Biography

Satish Kumar (PhD) is Professor of Finance at Sunway Business School, 鶹, Malaysia. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. Prior to joining Sunway Business School, he served as Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, India, and earlier as Head of the Department at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur from 2018 to 2020.

Professor Kumar’s research has been published in leading international journals, including FT50 and A/A* ranked outlets such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Review, European Financial Management, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, European Journal of Finance, Managerial Auditing Journal, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Service Theory and Practice, Journal of Service Research, Journal of International Marketing, International Journal of Information Management, Small Group Research, Knowledge Management Research & Practice, International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM), Journal of Services Marketing, Electronic Commerce Research, Public Management Review, International Journal of Advertising, Psychology & Marketing, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Knowledge Management, among others.

In addition to his academic and research contributions, Professor Kumar has extensive experience in executive education. He has designed and delivered finance and strategy sessions for senior executives, including Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Vice Presidents (VPs), and Chief Operating Officers (COOs), across a range of executive training programs. He has also developed and taught modules for online and blended certificate programs covering Senior Management Programs, General Management Programs, Corporate Finance, FinTech, and related domains.

He currently serves as Associate Editor for Electronic Commerce Research (ECR), Qualitative Research in Financial Markets (QRFM), Journal of Economic Surveys (JES), and Research in International Business and Finance, and is a member of the editorial boards of several leading international journals.
