Overview
This online course is for learners interested in developing emotional intelligence (EI) competencies to enhance their effectiveness, relationships, and wellbeing in workplace contexts. The course guides learners through a structured process of building self-awareness, understanding and managing emotions, navigating interpersonal dynamics, and applying emotional intelligence in real workplace situations. Learners develop their emotional intelligence progressively through hands-on practice with realistic workplace scenarios, self-reflection, and experimentation with evidence-based techniques. A core focus is moving from theoretical understanding to practical capability, developing emotional intelligence as a skillset. By engaging with EI as both a personal development journey and a professional competency, learners build the self-awareness, social awareness, and relationship management skills needed to navigate workplace challenges with greater confidence, empathy, and effectiveness.
On completing the course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate self-awareness by identifying their own emotional patterns, triggers, strengths, and areas for development in workplace context
- Apply relevant knowledge on cognitive and behavioral skills required for emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness
- Show empathy and social awareness by accurately reading others' emotions, perspectives, and needs in workplace
interactions
